Next year’s High Tea

Asha Prem founded Dances of India in St. Louis in 1976. It was the first classical Indian dance company to be established in Missouri. She performed for years in India, including before a former President of India, before coming to the US.

Bharata Natyam is a mixture of complex rhythm patterns, a myriad of hand movements, graceful body movements and postures. Includes a dazzling variety of precisely drawn facial expressions that are truly unique to Indian Dance.

No other dance style in the world deals with as many subtle states of emotion as Indian dance does. The dances can be purely rhythmic or they can tell stories of legends and myths, or of historical or contemporary issues.

This classical dance presents a unique spectacle for the viewer it depicts both myths drawn from the ancient Indian texts as well as from the collective Indian imagination.

Dino Kartsonakis

Grand Pianist, Stellar Entertainer and International Television Host. Dino is one of the premiere performers of our time. He is indeed "America's Piano Showman" - a title aptly given to him by over 80 million people who are witnesses to his majestic piano styling each year.

For the last 12 years, Dino has entertained Branson, Missouri, audiences with his exceptional showmanship and talent making his Christmas production one of the most critically acclaimed shows in the entertainment city.

Though it's Dino's wisdom and servanthood to God that has led him down each carefully chosen path, it was his strong family ties and spiritual commitment that shaped his life early on.

His wife, Cheryl, joins him today to entertain us.
